Good Morning Brothers and Sisters,

We are aware that an operator out of the Southampton Garage was recently assaulted. These assaults on bus operators are truly getting out of control and these assailants need to be held accountable for their actions. Make no mistake, this matter is going to be investigated and the membership updated. An attack on one is an attack on us all. 

In addition, there was stabbing last week on the Route 23 bus out of the Cabot Garage. The operator handled the situation with professionalism and should be recognized for his prompt response to the matter. On that note, we’re asking all operators to please stay alert and if you see something, say something. It’s truly unfortunate that operators have to deal with these situations.
