You Are Appreciated!

The following is a sample of the words of encouragement and support that we’ve received via our Facebook page from the riding public as we work to get the system back online after the snowiest month on record:
- “In this time of shutdowns, breakdowns and stalls, I want to take the time to thank the over 6,000 workers at the MBTA who work hard daily to make this antiquated Model T of a system run. I want to simply say thank you for your your work seen and unseen to start, get and keep things going on a daily basis. I will be working with my colleagues in government to invest in this early 20th Century System to upgrade it to 21st century standards. We have a long way to do, but you have and are keeping us going in these difficult times and we are grateful. #grateful #thankful” – Boston City Councilor Tito Jackson(2/16/15)
- “BIG thank you to ALL the MBTA workers and anyone helping to get the MBTA back to working conditions. Despite what media complains about, we know what kind of conditions you are working under and appreciate everything you do so that others can get to and from work every day!! It is not an easy job and is MUCH appreciated!! Stay warm, stay safe!” – Alissa Kramer (2/16/15)
- “[By allowing the MBTA to use an outside bus agency, the] Carmen’s Union put the city ahead of workplace politics. We should be grateful. I rode home on the Orange Line Friday night and it was damn near normal. The effort behind that was Herculean I am sure. Every MBTA worker I’ve ever known personally was a hard working, deserving individual. Let’s remember when the snow melts to take care of those who take care of us.” – Nathaniel Curtis (2/14/15)
Thank you to all our our riders for your patience and support, and our members for your dedication and hard work.
