Volunteers Needed for Wake/Funeral of Weymouth Police Officer Michael Chesna

July 17, 2018

Our hearts go out to the family, friends, and fellow officers of Michael Chesna. Chesna, who was killed in the line of duty this past Sunday, leaves behind a wife and two children. He was an Army veteran and was about to mark his six-year anniversary on the Weymouth Police Department.

Volunteers are needed this Thursday (7/19) from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Friday (7/20) from 6 a.m. to 3 p.m. to assist with shuttle service for Officer Chesna’s wake and funeral. If you are not working and able to help, please contact your supervisor ASAP.

For those who are unable to volunteer, a fund has been set up for his family. Anyone who wishes to donate can make checks payable to the OFFICER MICHAEL CHESNA FAMILY FUND and mail or drop off the checks at the Weymouth Police Station at 140 Winter Street, Weymouth 02188.
