State Representative Nick Collins and Local 589 President / Business Agent John Lee confer at the Massachusetts State House prior to a hearing on bills to restore collective bargaining rights over health care for MBTA workers.

Local 589 will be holding stands out for Rep. Nick Collins who is running for State Senate.

There has been no better friend to us in the Massachusetts House of Representatives that Rep. Nick Collins. He has been there for us so it’s time we are there for him.

Volunteers are needed for the following stand outs:

• Thursday, March 21 from 7:00am – 8:30am – Savin Hill MBTA Station
• Saturday, March 23 from 10:00am – 12:00pm – at the intersection of Adams Street and Dorchester Avenue, right where the Dunkin Donuts and Ice Creamsmith in Lower Mills.
• Tuesday, March 26 from 7:00am – 8:30am – Shawmut MBTA Station
• Thursday, March 28 from 7:00am – 8:30am – JFK MBTA Station
