Roxbury driver dies after hitting MBTA bus in Randolph

A 24-year-old Roxbury man died Sunday after crashing his vehicle into the back of a stopped MBTA bus in Randolph, MBTA Transit Police said.

Nine passengers aboard the bus were hospitalized with non-life threatening injuries, the T said in a statement.

According to officials, the driver hit the Route 240 bus while it was at a stop near 137 North Main Street about 10:30 a.m. Sunday.

The driver of the vehicle was transported to Boston Medical Center, where he died later in the day. His identity was not released Sunday evening.

No further information was immediately available. The investigation by the MBTA Transit Police continues.
