Proud to announce the recipient of this year’s 2018 ATU Tommy Clement Memorial Scholarship, in the amount of $8,000, is Luis R. Ortiz, son of our union brother Miguel A. Ortiz (Roving Stockman).

The 2018 scholarships are in remembrance of the man who led the fight in Canada to provide health insurance for all. Thomas Clement “Tommy” Douglas, who passed away February 24, 1986, was often called “the greatest Canadian”.
