Police seek MBTA spitting suspect

LYNN — Transit Police detectives are asking the public for help identifying a man who allegedly spat on an MBTA bus driver while getting off the vehicle near Central Square.

The incident occurred on Tuesday, June 18, on the Route 435 bus as it was traveling in Lynn, according to a post on the MBTA Transit Police website.

Police said the subject allegedly spat at the driver before getting off the bus and walking towards Central Square.

Police describe the subject as a black or Hispanic male with a light complexion, approximately 5-feet, 8-inches tall with a thin-to-medium build and a shadowed beard and goatee. The man is pictured in surveillance photos wearing a black T-Mobile T-shirt and black pants, and carrying a green umbrella.
