The New England Joint Conference is an educational conference that is held twice a year. It bring together ATU Locals from the New England area to discuss issues pertinent to the region.

This year the main topics where a national campaign on restroom breaks and assaults on Transit Workers. ATU President Hanley discussed the topics with all in attendance and also discussed the direction our international was heading.

President Hanley spoke of a restructuring committee that is in the process of considering ideas on how to improve the way the International can best serve the Locals both here in the States as well as in Canada.

He said there is a lot of work to be done at this years convention and looks forward to working with the delegates at this years convention in San Diego.
