Today, Local 589 President Jim Evers and the Executive Board joined members of the Machinists Union, Local 447 who are on strike for a fair contract at Cummins Inc. in Dedham, MA.

Members of Local 447 voted to strike after Cummins management insisted on a contract that put into place inconsistent and subjective pay for performance policies.

“The Carmen’s Union has a long-standing relationship with the Machinists Union and are proud to stand with them in their strike,” said President Evers.
