Over the weekend, members of the newly established Boston Carmen’s Union, Local 589 Women’s Caucus attended the 40th Annual ATU International Women’s Conference in Niagara Falls, New York.

Supported by Local 589 President Jim Evers and the Executive Board, the Local 589 Women’s Caucus was officially sworn in by International Women’s Caucus Chair Jackie Jeter during Saturday’s business session.

The work of the International Women’s Caucus helps educate and empower working women while addressing issues affecting women in the workplace. We applaud the founding members of our new local caucus and look forward to partnering with them to elevate women’s voices and concerns within our union and across our workplaces.
