Local 589 Members Volunteer Skills

Delegate Patrick Hogan reports that twelve Local 589 bus drivers volunteered their time and skills to pay tribute to Norfolk County Deputy Sheriff Ryan Tvelia who was killed in a motorcycle accident recently.
These Local 589 members continued a tradition of paying tribute to fallen Police and Fire Fighters by providing transportation for the funeral that was held on April 18th.
Delegate Hogan thanked the following members who stepped up to honor Deputy Sheriff Ryan Tvelia:
- From the Charlestown Garage – Mark Coakly;
- From the Bennett Street Garage – Janet Guarnieri, Ben Guarnieri, Wayne Peacock, Ron Sacca, Frederick Howard, Hilton Moore;
- From the Arborway Garage – Andrew Hunter, Lyonel Hylaire;
- From the Lynn Garage – Youssef Sarhrouni, Jose Mota and Dean Wetherbee.
The Boston Carmen’s Union ATU Local 589 thanks these members and all the members who have volunteered in the past.
