This year’s annual golf tournament was another success. Local 589 members, members from other unions on the T, and friends filled all the foursomes at what has become the Carmen’s major membership event. Funds raised from the golf tournament go to support Local 589’s political and legislative efforts to improve conditions for MBTA workers.

“We had beautiful weather, good food, fun, and it was a safe COVID event,” said Vice President Billy Berardino. “I want to thank all our sponsors whose generosity paid for the entire tournament, and I want to thank all the participants whose golfing fees go directly into our Committee on Political Education (COPE) fund.”
