Local 589 has endorsed Michael Mangan , Everett City Councilor (Ward 2) and Boston Carmen’s Union member, for State Representative in the March 5th Special Democratic Primary for the 28th MIddlesex District.

Mangan, a two-term member of the Board of Aldermen, previously served on the Common Council and as a Board Member on the Everett Housing Authority. He is a member of the Everett Democratic City Committee, President of the E Club, and a long time coach for Everett youth sports including Pop Warner Football & Youth Basketball.

Mangan is a twenty year member of the Boston Carmen’s Union Local 589, and a member of the Greater Boston Labor Council MASS AFL-CIO. He and his wife, Lori, have three children, Jessica, Kayla, and Brendan, all of whom either attended or still attend Everett Public Schools. Jessica is currently studying education at Fitchburg State while Kayla and Brendan are at Everett High School.
