Jim Evers Wins Financial Secretary-Treasurer’s Election

The results are in from the April 2nd Special Election for Local 589 Financial Secretary-Treasurer. Jim Evers was elected by the membership of the Boston Carmen’s Union ATU to fill the position of Financial Secretary-Treasure with 492 votes to Paul Eid’s 421 votes.
Local 589 President/Business Agent John Lee congratulated Brother Evers on behalf of the Executive Board while noting that both candidates ran strong election efforts.
Running for any Union Office requires commitment and energy. Both candidates took their campaigns and this job seriously and that was reflected by the membership coming out to vote. Congratulations to Jim Evers on his successful campaign for Financial Secretary-Treasurer. Local 589’s Executive Board looks forward to working with Jim in his new position and congratulates Paul Eid on his strong campaign effort.
