Good Afternoon 589 Family,

It has been a rainy couple of months, but summer is starting to heat up. Let’s be mindful of the heat and humidity by drinking lots of fluids and staying hydrated.

Although there is a lot of negativity surrounding the T right now, all we can do — as the Patriots have demonstrated — is to do our jobs and continue to follow the rules and regulations of the authority.

Make no mistake, you have one of the hardest jobs. It may seem like your hard work goes unnoticed and maybe some of it does, but not all. Everyday, we all see the posts on social media of how a simple act of kindness by one of our members puts smiles on the faces of our riders.

Never underestimate the power you have. As Carlos Castaneda says, “The trick is in what one emphasizes. We either make ourselves miserable, or we make ourselves happy. The amount of work is the same.”
