This week, focus groups of Streetcar Motorpersons from the Green Line viewed the full-scale mockup of the upcoming Type 10 car. This mockup is the result of ongoing collaboration between Local 589 and MBTA vehicle engineering, featuring a cab space with improved legroom and visibility compared to the previous Type 9 vehicle. The operator’s cab also includes a master controller and control console layout shaped by member input from previous feedback sessions.
