A right-wing organization, the Freedom Foundation, has sent letters falsely claiming they were from me. This is another attempt to undermine our Union. Please know that Local 589 remains strong and will continue advocating for our members as we always have.

Our Union is currently exploring all legal options to stop this harassment and protect our membership. If you receive one of these anti-union mailers, please disregard it.

These attacks happen because our Union has been successful. That success threatens organizations that want to weaken organized labor. Their goal is to divide us so companies can push for lower wages and fewer benefits.

The fact that Local 589 is being targeted at this level is a sign of how strong our Union has become. We have built a powerful voice for working people, and it is being noticed.

Let’s remain united and focused. Attempts like this will not weaken our solidarity or our commitment to one another.
