ATU members devastated by Superstorm Sandy
November 17, 2012
With the holidays coming, and the news stories no longer on the front page, the devastation of Superstorm Sandy is getting less attention. But our countless members living on Staten Island, in the Rockaways, and on Howard Beach who lost their homes and all their belongings are still trying to rebuild their lives. Or to the family of ATU Local 1181 member John K. Filipowicz, who was killed with his son in the storm.
Nothing we could say will take away the pain of the Filipowicz family. But we can help them and other members affected by the hurricane with financial contributions to the ATU Disaster Relief Fund.
Our locals in the area are doing their best, but they cannot possibly keep up with the urgent needs of our currently homeless members. It will take a lot more than what they can provide to help these members get back on their feet.
We ask you to help us raise funds for the ATU victims of Hurricane Sandy by please contributing and asking your family and friends to contribute to the ATU Disaster Relief Fund. Please mail a check to:
