Two years ago today, we lost 10 of our Local 265-San Jose, CA brothers to a senseless act of gun violence. We will never forget them or the heartbroken families and friends they left behind.

Like us, our Local 265 brothers were just looking to do their jobs and help people get to their destinations be it home or work. They never imagined they would not be returning home at the end of their shifts.

Although there is much beyond our control, ​Local 589 as well as our international will continue to advocate for better protections and mental health resources for all our members.
