June 19, 2012

Three State Senators, Bruce Tarr, Gale Candaras and Jim Welch, have filed an amendment to the MBTA Funding Bill that would create an oversight committee for MBTA financing whose members would have no MBTA Service concerns. Their amendment undercuts all of the recent reforms passed by the Legislature.

The Boston Carmen’s Union ATU Local 589 and the Massachusetts AFL-CIO have already contacted the Senate to urge Amendment 9 be defeated. But we need you to add your voice right now!  Please contact your State Senator immediately and urge them to oppose Amendment 9 on Senate Bill #2308. If you do not know who your state senator is, click here.
